Prof. K. Kellner is the Lead author (LA) for Chapter 7 deliverable of (3bi) – Thematic assessment on land degradation and restoration and Lead author for Chapter – 5 of deliverable (2b) – Regional/subregional assessments on biodiversity and ecosystem services – for Africa) and contributing author for deliverable (3c) – Policy support tools and methodologies for scenario analysis and modelling of biodiversity and ecosystem services.
He is also involved with Chapter 2. Building Scenarios and Models of [Indirect and Direct] Drivers of Change in Biodiversity and Ecosystems.

Prof. K. Kellner is busy with a review for African Union Semi Arid Food Grain Research and Development (AU SAFGRAD)

The theme for the review is: “Promotion of the science-policy interface for the UNCCD in the African region” All the Science and Technology (STCs) and National Focal Points (NFPs) of the 55 countries in Africa that are part of the UNCCD have been contacted to explain the role of science and policy in the UNCCD and how this can be improved in the African region. The draft report will be presented at the African Regional meeting in Pretoria (2-5 September 2015). It will form part of the preparation for UNCCD-COP 12, which will be held in Ankara, Turkey in October 2015.
